Al-Khabra Heritage Town is located in the Qassim region in the center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the banks of Wadi Al-Rummah. Its elevation above sea level ranges between 600 and 700 meters, and its founding dates back to the year 1140 AH / 1727 AD.

The town was known by several names, including "Khabra Al-Majadir," "Khabra Al-Afalq," and "Khabra Al-Sidr." It attracted residents thanks to the abundance of water and the fertility of the land, which contributed to its development as an active commercial and agricultural center. It flourished during the periods of the First and Second Saudi States, and was a launching point for scientific and religious movements, with a number of judges and students of knowledge graduating from it.

The town was surrounded by successive defensive walls built in different stages of its history, the last of which is a wall dating back to the fourteenth century AH, reinforced with 13 watchtowers. It was distinguished by the presence of al-hasawat – traditional water ponds used to irrigate palm trees and considered part of the local water system – and the town underwent multiple restoration works by the Heritage Authority and the Al-Khabra Municipality. It was operated to host seasonal events such as the Eid Al-Khabra Festival and the Al-Ma'iyah Festival, which brought life back to its alleys and public gathering places.
