Activity idea

Universities and research centers in the Arab countries abound with a promising generation of young researchers in the field of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, who have today demonstrated a great capacity to contribute to advancing research and projects related to this field, thanks to their acquisition of modern techniques and their familiarity with the newly developed methods and approaches in the field of historical, archaeological and anthropological studies.

Despite this, exchange and partnership relations among Arab universities and research centers have remained very limited, compared to the significant communication and cooperation with Western and global universities in general. This has left a kind of dependency in methods, studies and the like, without benefiting from the raw heritage that the Arab countries offer, which represents a fertile field for experimentation and training and still awaits inventory, documentation, study and valorization.

In order to support, mentor and embrace these talents, the Culture Department of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization proposes to organize a periodic forum for these competencies to present their work, exchange expertise and provide them with scientific mentoring in preparing their academic research, train them in developing successful research projects, connect them with one another, strengthen Arab regional cooperation, and more.
