The idea of organising the ALECSO Forum for Culture and the Arts falls within the framework of the Culture Department's efforts to support the Organization's outreach and presence and to make known its achievements, initiatives and cultural and artistic programmes, in its capacity as the body responsible for coordinating joint Arab cultural action and for informing cultural elites, individuals, youth and civil society of the Organization's efforts to achieve cultural integration between the Arab countries and openness to the cultures of the world, as well as affirming its interest in the elements of creativity and openness to local partners.
