On the occasion of the opening of the Tunis International Book Fair in its fortieth session, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Kais Saied, visited the ALECSO pavilion on Thursday, April 23, 2026, where he was briefed on the organization’s most prominent publications and knowledge projects. His Excellency the President was received by His Excellency Professor Mohamed Ould Amer, Director General of ALECSO, where he gave a comprehensive presentation on the organization’s most important programs and initiatives in the fields of education, culture and science. His Excellency was accompanied by Professor Pr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of the Information and Communication Technology Department. This visit is considered an occasion that confirms the interest that the Republic of Tunisia attaches to joint Arab cultural work, and to the role of ALECSO in supporting knowledge and promoting creativity. This participation reflects the organization’s continued presence in the most prominent regional and international cultural events. The ALECSO Pavilion presents Visitors to the exhibition will have a distinguished collection of educational, scientific and cultural publications, in addition to an introduction to the most important projects, programs and activities implemented in support of cultural and cognitive development in the Arab world.
