The Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) participates in the work of the 118th session of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo, during the period from August 30 to September 3, 2026, to discuss a number of topics and issues related to the social and development fields in the Arab countries. His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar, Director General of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), heads the organization’s delegation participating in the work of this session. The session began on Sunday, August 30, 2026, with meetings at the expert level, where the agenda includes a number of social and development topics and issues, in addition to files related to strengthening joint Arab action in the economic and social fields. The meetings discuss the topics on the agenda in preparation for submitting their findings and recommendations to the meeting of senior officials, and then to the ministerial meeting of the Economic and Social Council, to take the necessary measures and approve them.
