On the sidelines of the launch of “Kuwait : Capital of Arab Culture for 2025” event, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General ALECSO, met, on February 13, 2025 in Kuwait, with H.E. Ms. Inayati Sidi, Minister of Youth, Employment, Labor, Sports, Arts, and Culture, and H.E. Ms. Fatima Ahamada, Minister of Gender Promotion, Solidarity and Information of the Comoros.
The meeting discussed cooperation between ALECSO and the Comoros in various fields, especially in cultural heritage preservation as well as capacity-building for the preparation of national nomination files to be submitted for inscription on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
The Director-General emphasized ALECSO's commitment to supporting the Comoros in enhancing Arabic language education. He also expressed ALECSO’s readiness to meet the country’s needs in terms of supporting education, promoting teacher training, and providing programs in new technologies, particularly modern software and applications, to help build youth’s capacity to enter the digital world and actively participate in the Arab Code Week annually organized by ALECSO.
