H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on January 28, 2025 at ALECSO headquarters in Tunis, H.E. Dr. Salem Al-Malik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and his accompanying delegation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ould Amar warmly welcomed the Director-General of ICESCO. He underlined the importance of continued consultation on the educational, scientific and cultural issues of mutual interest. He commended the significant level of cooperation between the two organizations, as reflected through various Memoranda of Understanding and joint programs.

For his part, Dr. Al-Malik hailed the long-standing cooperation that the two sides are seeking to further scale up through the joint programs that both organizations will implement in the coming years.

During the meeting, the directors of technical departments of ALECSO and ICESCO presented the main activities and programs undertaken by each of the two organizations.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Ould Amar offered the “ALECSO Shield” to the Director-General of ICESCO, in recognition of the significant role played by ICESCO in the Arab and Islamic world in its areas of expertise.
