On the sidelines of the 27th  session of the Conference on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in the Arab World, held Doha, Qatar, a Photo Exhibition of World Heritage Sites in the Arab World was inaugurated on October 28, 2025.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by H.E. Ms. Lolwah Al Khater, Qatari Minister of Education and Higher Education and Chairperson of the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science; H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO; H.E. Mr. Mohammed Yassin Saleh, Syrian Minister of Culture; and H.E. Mr. Mohamed Saad Al-Rumaihi, CEO of Qatar Museums.

During the event, Mr. Abdelhadi Ghemari and Dr. Imed Soula, from ALECSO’s Culture Department, gave an overview of the Arab heritage sites inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, with emphasis on the significant role played by ALECSO in their inscription, through supervising the meetings of the Arab Expert Committee on World Heritage and mobilizing international support for Arab nomination files.
