H.E. Ms. Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, Qatari Minister of Education and Higher Education and Chairperson of the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, received H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 27th  Conference on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in the Arab World, held in Doha, Qatar, under the theme “Sustainability of Cultural Heritage: Challenges and Future Strategies.”

The meeting addressed ways of strengthening cooperation between ALECSO and the State of Qatar in the fields of education, culture, and science, as well as the joint efforts to protect antiquities and preserve cultural heritage in the Arab world. 

Both sides also reviewed the initiatives and projects implemented by the State of Qatar in the field of cultural heritage preservation, and discussed ALECSO’s role in supporting joint Arab action and coordinating relevant regional and international efforts.
