H.E. Dr. Enas Al-Issa, Deputy Minister of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received, on October 6, 2025 at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh,  H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.

The meeting explored ways of strengthening cooperation between ALECSO and the Saudi Ministry of Education. 

Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to its constructive collaboration with ALECSO in support of shared goals in the fields of education, culture, and science.  She commended ALECSO’s active role in supporting Arab States’ efforts toward achieving sustainable development, and its leading efforts in the educational, cultural, and scientific fields. She affirmed the Kingdom’s continued support and active participation in the Organization’s future projects and initiatives.

For his part, the Director-General briefed the Deputy Minister about the Ministerial Conferences organized by ALECSO. He also highlighted ALECSO’s role in inscribing Arab cultural properties on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, an effort designed to preserve the rich cultural heritage that reflects the achievements of the Arab Nation all over the ages.  Additionally, he touched on ALECSO’s “Arab University Twinning” initiative, which aims to establish a collaborative academic network among Arab institutions and promote the sharing of expertise between them.
