The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is pleased to extend its warmest congratulations to the United Arab Emirates, to the Emirati people, and to all those involved in heritage preservation in the UAE, on the occasion of the inscription of “Al-Faya” site on the UNESCO World Heritage List during the current (47th) session of the World Heritage Committee, held from July 6 to 16, 2025 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
ALECSO commends this significant achievement, which reaffirms the UAE’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. It reiterates, on this occasion, its full readiness to continue providing support to the UAE, and to all Arab countries, in the inscription of their sites on UNESCO’s heritage lists, as well as in the inventorying, preservation, valorization, and sound management of cultural assets, particularly as part of cultural tourism projects and broader sustainable development programs.
