Within the framework of enhancing administrative writing skills and developing the professional performance of government employees, the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science, organized a specialized training workshop on “Techniques for Editing Administrative Discourse in the Field of Culture” on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in the city of Nouakchott, with the participation of a number of officials and employees from various central directorates in the Ministry of Culture, Arts, Communication and the relationship with Parliament. The workshop aims to improve participants’ skills in drafting administrative documents in the cultural field, including official correspondence, reports, and memos, in accordance with approved legal and regulatory standards. Emphasis was also placed on developing employees' capabilities in the areas of cultural administrative communication, decision-making procedures, and computerizing the management of employee files.  The program for the first day of the workshop included lectures and training sessions that covered a number of topics. These presentations were presented by a number of experts and consultants specialized in their fields. This workshop comes within the framework of the Arab League Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s endeavor to enhance the capabilities of human resources in Arab countries in line with the countries’ governmental directions with the aim of improving administrative performance and developing public services. It is expected that the results of this workshop will contribute to improving the quality of administrative discourse in the field of culture, facilitating administrative procedures, and enhancing communication between various structures, which will reflect positively on the effectiveness of cultural work. The organization was represented in this workshop by Mr. Abdul Hadi Al-Ghamari, project coordinator at the Culture Department.
