The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization organized, on April 28, 2025 at its headquarters in Tunis, in partnership with Beijing Normal University, the launch ceremony of the China-Arab Calligraphy Cultural Exchange Exhibition under the theme of: "Brushstrokes in Harmony, Civilizations in Splendor".

In his opening remarks, Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT at ALECSO, speaking on behalf of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General, welcomed all guests, and emphasized the significance of this cultural event as a new milestone in the ongoing cultural dialogue between the Arab world and China. He commended the strong partnership between ALECSO and Beijing Normal University, particularly the Smart Learning Institute affiliated to it, and highlighted the fruitful cooperation in the publishing of scientific and cultural books, which has contributed to strengthening Arab-Chinese cultural ties.

For his part, Dr. Xinlu Liu, Vice-President of Beijing Foreign Studies University, expressed his appreciation of the high level of cooperation between ALECSO and China.

The event also featured two workshops, one on Chinese calligraphy and the other on Arabic calligraphy, with participation from Tunisian students.
