H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, took part in the First International Conference on Orientalism, held on April 26-27, 2025 in Doha, Qatar. 

The Conference, organized by the Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education, brings together experts and intellectuals from Arab countries and beyond. It was officially inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Lolwah Al Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education.

On the sidelines of the Conference, the Director-General gave an interview to Qatar Television, in which he highlighted the importance of the Conference and its role in shedding light on the concept of Orientalism, the focus of the Conference in its first edition. He emphasized that his participation opens up new prospects for future cooperation in areas of interest to ALECSO.
