On Friday, April 4, 2025, corresponding to Arab Manuscript Day, the activities of the joint international conference organized by the Arabic Manuscripts Institute of ALECSO, with the Center for Studies of Foreign Civilizations, Languages and Literatures (CECILLE) at the French University of Lille, concluded, held at its headquarters, under the title “The Image of the Other in the Arab Heritage, An Exploratory Reading” during the period (5-6 of Shawwal 1446 AH / 3-4 of April). 2025 AD). The conference witnessed a wide participation of researchers and specialists, as more than 220 researchers from various Arab, African and foreign countries presented, and the scientific committee selected 36 papers from Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, the Sultanate of Oman, Mali, France, and Italy. The conference activities began with the opening session on the first day, corresponding to April 3, in which the Director of the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, Professor Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Naim, (Chairman of the Conference), conveyed via Zoom the greetings of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar, Director General of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), to all attendees, as well as his appreciation for the conference topic as it lies at the core of the concerns of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), which aims to show the face of Arab civilization based on coexistence with others.  Also participating in the opening session were Dr. Boualem Ferjaoui - University of Lille, France - President of the Conference, and Dr. Bashir Dahmani - Director of the Department of Civilization Studies, Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures - University of Lille, France, and A. D. Issa Maaiza - University of Djelfa, Algeria - Scientific coordinator of the conference.
