His Excellency Professor Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), extended his warmest congratulations to Professor Mohamed Jemni, Director of the Information and Communication Technology Department at ALECSO, on the occasion of his election as Chairman of the Governing Board of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), during the twenty-sixth session of the Institute's Governing Board, held on 20 August 2026 in the Chinese capital Beijing.

His Excellency the Director-General expressed his pride in this election, affirming that it reflects the international appreciation for Arab competencies and expertise, and contributes to enhancing cooperation between ALECSO and UNESCO, and supporting the Arab presence in the international initiatives related to education, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

His Excellency also praised the scientific and professional career of Professor Mohamed Jemni and his contributions in the fields of educational technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, wishing him success in his new duties.
