H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and H.E. Dr. Brahim Vall Ould Mohamed Lemine, President of the High Council for Education of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 29 July 2026 at ALECSO headquarters in Tunis. The signing took place during the working visit of a delegation from the Council to ALECSO.

The MoU aims to establish an institutional framework for cooperation between the two parties in order to promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge, support the development of the education system, enhance the quality of education, and contribute to the advancement of educational policies in line with global developments and national and Arab priorities.

The MoU reflects the shared vision of ALECSO and the High Council for Education and their commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation and coordinating efforts in the fields of education, educational research, capacity building, digital transformation, and scientific research. It is intended to support ongoing education reform initiatives and foster innovation across education systems.
