The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), welcomed, on May 15, 2026 at its headquarters in Tunis, HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who was conducting a high-level visit aimed at strengthening Arab cultural and intellectual cooperation. The visit reaffirmed ALECSO’s leading role in promoting civilizational dialogue and supporting intellectual and cultural issues across the Arab world.

HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal was received by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al Saqr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tunisia, a representative of the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, senior ALECSO officials, Arab ambassadors accredited to Tunisia, as well as a number of prominent intellectual, cultural, and media figures.

The visit program featured a high-level honorary lecture delivered by HRH Prince Turki Al Faisal, in which he addressed several intellectual, cultural, and strategic issues related to the current realities and challenges facing the Arab world. He emphasized the vital role of culture and knowledge in shaping a future founded on dialogue, openness, and civilizational integration.

In his remarks on this occasion, the Director-General of ALECSO stressed that hosting such a distinguished Arab intellectual and diplomatic figure represents a valuable support for joint Arab cultural action. This event, he added, reflects ALECSO’s commitment to fostering major intellectual initiatives and engaging influential Arab personalities to enrich cultural and intellectual dialogue throughout the Arab region.
