His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and the delegation accompanying him, composed of the directors of the Organization's departments, are making an official visit to the Federal Republic of Somalia, within the framework of enhancing cultural and educational cooperation and developing joint projects.

The delegation accompanying His Excellency includes Professor Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Dr. Ahmed Jalal, Professor Dr. Hamid Bin Saif Al-Noufali, Professor Dr. Mourad Mahmoudi, Professor Dr. Mustafa Kamal, and Mr. Abdelhadi Al-Ghammari.

Upon their arrival, His Excellency the Director-General and the delegation were received by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir, and a number of government officials, where the official reception ceremonies took place, reflecting the strength of the relations between ALECSO and Somalia.

This visit aims to become acquainted with the Somali experiences in the fields of education, culture and science, and to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in supporting Arab programs and projects.

The visit's program also includes holding meetings with a number of high-level officials to discuss areas of future cooperation, in addition to following up on the impact of ALECSO's programs in enhancing Arab cultural identity in Somalia.

This visit comes in the context of the Organization's continuous efforts to support Arab cooperation, enhance joint action in the fields of education, culture and science, and consolidate strategic partnerships with the Arab countries.
