Today, Thursday, October 30, 2025, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar, Director General of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Saad Al-Rumaihi, CEO of the Qatar Museums Authority, supervised the handing over of certificates of registration of Arab countries’ sites in the Arab Architectural and Urban Heritage Register, in Doha. As a reminder, the locations registered in the registry for the year 2025 were as follows: 1. Jordan: Palace of the Founding King2. Emirates: Union House Building 3. Tunisia: Al-Zaytouna Al-Maamour Mosque4. Algeria: Old City of Miliana5. Saudi Arabia: Al-Khubara Heritage Town, Al-Qashla Castle, Diriyah District, Marid Castle, De Ain 6 Village. Syria: Umayyad Mosque in Damascus7. Iraq: Historical monuments on the Tigris River, Al-Bab Al-Wastani site 8. Sultanate of Oman: Al Hamouda Mosque, Al Shawathna Mosque, Nizwa Fort, Sohar Fort9. Palestine: The Old City of Hebron, the Old City of Jerusalem, the Great Omari Mosque in Gaza City10. Qatar: Barzan Tower, Old Palace, Murwab Archaeological Site11. Kuwait: Kuwait Towers12. Lebanon: Qadisha Valley and the Cedars of God13. Libya: Tounin village in Ghadames city14. Egypt: Al-Gezira Center for Islamic Arts and Ceramics15. Morocco: The ancient city of Fez16. This step is an important stage in enhancing awareness of the importance of Arab architectural heritage, and encouraging countries to preserve their historical sites as part of a common cultural identity.
