The Arab Forum on “Empowering Arab Youth for Sustainable Heritage” concluded alongside the 27th  Conference on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in the Arab World.

The closing session was chaired by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and H.E. Mr. Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi, CEO of Qatar Museums.

The Forum and the Conference concluded with significant recommendations, the most notable of which being the launch of the “ALECSO Chair for Sustainable Heritage”, to be overseen by Qatar Museums under the direction of Dr. Fatima Al-Sulaiti, Director of International Cooperation and Government Affairs. The Chair aims to support scientific research and training in the field of heritage and to strengthen youth capacities in managing heritage projects.

During the meeting, Iraq offered to host the 28th session of the Conference on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in the Arab World.

In the closing session, participants emphasized the importance of maintaining these forums as platforms for sharing expertise and experiences and for stimulating innovation in the preservation of cultural heritage, thereby contributing to achieving sustainable development across the Arab region.
