Issue 68 of “Arabization” magazine is published.

The Arab Center for Arabization, Translation, Authorship and Publishing in Damascus issued the sixty-eighth issue of the Centre’s semi-annual magazine, “Arabization.” The issue contains 266 pages. This issue of Arabization magazine represents a new episode within a scientific path that aims to deepen awareness of the importance of the Arabic language and its organic connection to knowledge and identity, through solid research that addresses the fields of higher education, scientific terminology, translation, and figures of Arab and Islamic civilization. In the field of research in higher education, the published studies address vital issues at the heart of the development of the educational system, discuss issues of higher education, obstacles to the integration of university graduates into the labor market, and a study that highlights the experience of the Omani Encyclopedia in disseminating knowledge using emerging digital technologies. As for the terminology research section, the studies address the issue of unifying mathematics terminology in the Arab world as a scientific and linguistic issue par excellence. Another research deals with the roots of Arabized Latin words, highlighting the interactive relationship between language and identity throughout history. A third research presents the development of “names of animals and birds” in the heritage of the ancient Arab East. As for the “Research in Translation” section, one of the studies deals with the paradoxes of “creativity in literary translation,” and the study presents critical insights that rethink the role of the literary translator. This issue concludes with the section “Images of Arab and Islamic Civilization” to shed light on prominent figures who contributed to the creation of Arab and Islamic civilization and provided humanity with authentic knowledge in the fields of science, literature, thought, and philosophy. A group of Arab researchers and those working in the field of linguistics and translation participated in this issue.
