The Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science in the capital, Manama, concluded a program to qualify leaders in the management of the cultural and creative industry, directed to the Arabian Gulf region. It lasted for three days in the period from May 19 to 21, 2025. The program aims to enhance the role of cultural industries and the creative economy in creating opportunities for investment, employment and social inclusion, developing cultural professions, and qualifying and training leaders from Arab countries who understand the challenges of cultural industries and their role in achieving development. Forty participants from the Gulf countries benefited from the program, organized in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Bahraini National Committee, including leaders of cultural institutions and organizations, entrepreneurs, creators, entertainment makers, and leaders of media institutions and marketing platforms. They received theoretical and practical training in the fields of entrepreneurship in cultural industries, building start-up companies in the creative economy, entrepreneurship in creative industries, marketing and cultural consumption strategies, and marketing cultural products and services. In a speech on the occasion of the conclusion of the program, Dr. Ahmadou Habibi, an expert in the Department of Culture, conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the Director General of the organization, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, to the participants and his wishes for them to make the most of this program, which will enable them to understand the stakes of the cultural and creative industries as sustainable jobs of the future, and stressed that the organization continues Accompanying Arab countries by providing expertise in their fields of specialization. In turn, Ms. Aisha Al-Sada, Advisor for Cultural Affairs at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, appreciated the role of ALECSO in supporting the efforts of Arab countries and its initiative in launching this program, which will contribute to building a generation of leaders and developers of creative industries and expanding the circle of entrepreneurship and innovation projects in this field. On this occasion, Mubarak Butti, Acting Secretary-General of the Bahrain National Commission for Education and Science, thanked and appreciated the Arab League Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization for everything it provides to Arab countries, especially the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the field of accompaniment, capacity support, and implementation of cultural policies.
