Dr. Musa Abd Darb al-Jubouri is an Iraqi academic, researcher and writer who holds the position of Director of the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts in Cairo, affiliated with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). He has a professional career that combines academic work, educational administration, research and authorship in the fields of the Arabic language, literature, criticism and heritage-related studies. Before taking over the administration of the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, Dr. Musa Abd Darb al-Jubouri held a number of academic and administrative responsibilities, including heading the department of the Open Educational College in al-Shirqat, where he contributed to overseeing academic and administrative affairs and supporting the educational process. His scholarly activity extends to the fields of research and authorship in Arabic literature and criticism, alongside his interest in poetry and literature, and he has a number of publications, research works and contributions published in these fields. He is also known for using the literary pen name «Musa al-Houri» in some of his literary output. Within the framework of his current responsibilities at the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts in Cairo, he undertakes the tasks of managing and supervising the Institute's programmes and scholarly activities related to serving the Arabic manuscript heritage, supporting cataloguing, verification, study and publication work, and enhancing scholarly and institutional cooperation in the field of Arabic manuscripts and heritage.
