Within the framework of carrying out its tasks in supporting the Organization's organs and enhancing the effectiveness of its institutional performance, the Secretariat of the Executive Council and the General Conference focuses on a set of strategic priorities aimed at developing working methods and improving the quality of organizational and technical performance, enhancing the Organization's presence and outreach at the Arab and international levels, and facilitating the access of its knowledge output to the widest range of beneficiaries. The Secretariat also attaches special importance to entrenching the principles of governance, sound conduct, and a culture of evaluation, developing strategic partnerships and frameworks of international cooperation, in addition to enhancing the Organization's readiness and its ability to respond effectively to crises and emergency situations, in a way that supports the sustainability of its work and strengthens its capacity to achieve its objectives and mission.
