This announcement comes in the context of the ongoing preparations led by the Institute to ensure that this cultural event is held in a manner befitting the status of the Arab manuscript heritage.

In line with the gracious directives of His Excellency the Director-General of ALECSO aimed at broadening the circle of interest in manuscript heritage and enhancing its vital presence in Arab cultural awareness, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts) has extended an invitation to all concerned entities and institutions in the Arab world and beyond to participate actively in celebrating this day, starting from today

In this context, the Institute affirmed that this occasion will not be limited to a symbolic celebration, but will be an international platform to highlight the efforts made by institutions to preserve, protect and make available manuscript heritage, in addition to exploring ways to make optimal use of it to serve the current issues and challenges of Arab culture.

The fourteenth edition seeks to trace the journey of the Arabic manuscript as a bridge linking the past and the present within a journey of renewed giving, considering that "transformation and renewal" are the two features that have enabled Arab thought to survive and exert influence, which is what the Institute aspires to consolidate through its diverse activities.

The Institute will later announce, through its official channels, the final date and venue of the grand celebration.
