ALECSO Mourns the Eminent Scholar Abdelghani Abou El Azm

With deep sorrow and grief, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) mourns the eminent Moroccan linguist Abdelghani Abou El Azm, a man of praiseworthy virtues and profound effort in serving the Arabic language and its literature, who has passed away. On this grave loss, the Organization, in the name of its Director-General Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, extends to the family of the deceased, and to academics, scholars and students in the Arab world, its warmest condolences and most sincere sympathy, praying to the Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy and to admit him to His spacious gardens in the company of the righteous and the pious, and how excellent a companion are they.

Verily, to God we belong, and to Him we shall return
