The recommendations of the conference, which addressed the subject of the future of higher education and development in the Arab world, covered general aspects relating to higher education and to following up the implementation of the strategy for developing science and culture, preparing a strategy for higher education in the Arab world, Arab cooperation in the field of science and technology, the linguistic corpus project, and the role of science in social and economic development.
Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is the mother of specialized Arab organizations and the oldest. It was established on July 25, 1970, following the approval of the Arab Cultural Unity Charter in Baghdad in April 1964.
