Arab Scientific Magazine for Boys (Issue 33)
The Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) Department of Science and Scientific Research issued issue (33) of the Arab Scientific Journal for Boys, 2020; This issue included a special file on smart cities, in an effort by the organization to draw the attention of the age group targeted by the magazine to the importance of the shift towards smart cities in the context of seeking to meet the needs of Arab societies and address the pressures resulting from increasing rates of urbanization, as well as the strong positive relationship between smart cities and prosperity and growth by relying on advanced technologies to raise efficiency and productivity and improve governance. The issue included various scientific topics on “The History of Natural Sciences,” “The Pillars of Learning,” and “Food Supplements Benefits and Harms,” written by scientific experts from inside and outside the Arab world. This issue is enriched with an overview of the life of the distinguished Arab scientist, the late Samira Moussa, and her achievements and works. It is the story of a creative scientist who hoped to harness corn for the good of mankind and break into the field of medical treatment, where history immortalized her famous saying: “My wish.” “The treatment of cancer with corn is like aspirin.” Within the framework of introducing scientific institutions, this issue presents “Dar Al-Ulum” in Cairo/Egypt, the school of heritage and modernity that had a major impact in enriching the Arab cultural movement. A number of pioneering thinkers and scholars have graduated from it, who have influenced our cultural life through the harvest of their intellectual works. The house still publishes many works by professors and spreads culture and knowledge throughout the Arab world and beyond its borders. As the organization presents this issue to its dear readers, it extends its thanks to the distinguished writers who enriched it with their articles. It also relies on the efforts of academics and experts to write in this magazine and deliver it to the beneficiaries in a way that meets the aspirations of our Arab generations.
