Lebanese Republic
Lebanon is an Arab country located in the Middle East in the west of the Asian continent. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east, occupied Palestine (Israel) to the south, and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea to the west. It is a democratic, republican, confessional country. Most of its inhabitants are Arab Muslims and Christians. Unlike the majority of Arab countries, there is an effective presence of Christians in public and political life. Its people have migrated and spread around the world since the days of the Phoenicians. It has been a member of ALECSO since 1985.
