ALECSO

Tunisia is located in the far north of Africa. It is part of the Arab Maghreb; to its west and southwest lies Algeria, to its southeast Libya, and to its north and east the Mediterranean Sea. Italy and Malta share maritime borders with it to its north and east. Tunisia is distinguished by the archaeological sites of Carthage, which date back to the ninth century BC, as well as the Zaytuna Mosque in the city of Tunis and the Uqba ibn Nafi Mosque in Kairouan. It is known for its ancient architecture and has been a member of ALECSO since 1974.
